The Only New Year’s Resolution You Need

There is one thing you can do for yourself this year that is guaranteed to change your life. It can change your life so drastically that it will feel like magic.

Make the New Year’s Resolution to pay attention to what you are thinking and saying and how you are phrasing it.  Then re-phrase things where necessary.

They don’t always teach this in “Manifesting School”, but being unaware of what you are manifesting is the biggest block to happiness and success for most people.

How you phrase things, and what you say you want can make all the difference in the world.

Firstly:  What is it you want? Be clear on that.

Most of you when asked what you want, will list off a bunch of things that you DON’T want. It seems to be human nature to phrase things that way.

Here are some examples of how you can replace your negative thinking with more positive thinking.  How you can begin to manifest what you do want instead of manifesting what you DON’T want.

What most people say about money:

“I don’t want to struggle anymore.”

“I can’t save money”

Instead say:

“I want to be financially comfortable”

“I can save $10 this week”

 

What Most People Say About Relationships:

“I don’t want to attract another guy/woman that treats me badly and can’t be trusted. I’ve had so many bad relationships, I want a good one now.”

“All the good ones are taken”

Instead say:

“I want to share my life with someone who loves and respects me as much as I love and respect them”.

“I know there are good single people in the world, I am single and I am good”.

 

How Most People Phrase the Simple Things

When talking to kids.  “Go to bed, you want to have a good sleep so you are not late for school”.

Instead say:

“Go to bed now, you want to have a good sleep so you can get to school on time feeling refreshed”.

 

What most People Say about Body Image/Weight/Health:

“I am so fat. I eat way too much crap food and I don’t move enough.  I am sick of feeling this way, I want a change”.

“I really don’t like this (fill in the blank), about my body/health.”

Instead say:

“I love my body. I like to eat vegetables (insert any food you like that you know is healthy for you here) and it feels really good to move around.  The more I move my body, the more I want to move my body”.

“I am really grateful I woke up this morning and that I am breathing.  I am grateful that I have my eyes, or can get around (or whatever else your wonderful body does for you).”

How most people state things is focused solely on what is NOT wanted. You already know what you don’t want ~ STOP AFFIRMING IT.

You need to affirm what you DO want.

I guarantee that if you do this consistently and long enough, your entire world will change in the most positive ways!

November 18 Energy Alert ~ Feeling a little stunned?

I had to do an energy alert for you today because I know so many of you are feeling it.  Its a little bit confusing, this energy we are in right now.

So many things to do, and so little coherency to go with it.  Its like we know what needs to be done but have no idea where the energy to do it will come from.  Or we know what needs to be done but there are so many things to do we don’t know where to start, and we are also feeling like we don’t want to do anything.

On the one hand you might find yourself saying “I’m excited about what I have going on”, and on the other hand you might be saying “I don’t know what’s going on, why do I feel so strange“.  Some of us are having a really hard time staying grounded and an even harder time articulating what we want to say.  Have you found yourself trying to explain something or tell a story and you find you could talk and talk for 5 minutes and you still don’t know what you are saying or how to say it?  Are words leaving your vocabulary ~ right in the middle of a sentence you completely forget the simplest word?

Its not just you, its the energy of the planet.  There are a lot of ups and downs right now with our energy ~ excited, stunned, up, down, busy and getting things done, getting nothing done, knowing what we want, feeling like we have no idea where we are going…  It reminds me of the weather here in BC ~ if you don’t like it, wait a few hours it will change.

Its not mental health issues, its the planetary energy.  Know that things are just in the middle of a shift, it will pass.  It might not pass completely until after the full moon next week, but you will get back to a place of feeling a little more normal by December (whatever normal is).

The other shifts on the planet ~ earthquakes, Paris attacks etc.

There is a lot going on on our planet right now in this sense too and its not helping those of us who are sensitive.  Last Friday brought a lot of shifts and changes on our earth ~ I won’t list them all, but there were bombings and earthquakes and weather events all over our planet.

In my city yesterday there was a huge storm.  Some people still don’t have power and for some its not expected to be back on until tomorrow night.  I was lucky, I did not lose power for more than a few minutes, but we had 120 km winds for hours.  There were about 45 reports of trees on roads and power lines that I heard of that were all within about 20 k of where I live.

We need to focus on love at every turn.  We need to infuse love into mother earth and into situations.  The earth will be fine, she is shifting, adjusting to what is going on with the energies in and on her.  When you think of the earth, allow love and light to flow through you and into our planet.  (click that link to see how).

There is a lot of fear on our planet right now as well.  Please don’t lose your sense of humanity and oneness.  Do not let the actions of a few taint your view of all the wonderful souls here.  There are 7 billion people on earth ~ are you going to let 7 people change who you are in your essence?   That is what they want.  If you change, they win.  If 7 people on earth can do that much ‘damage’ to the collective energy and psyche, imagine what even 7 million (or almost 7 billion) people being positive and spreading love can do!  Peace comes from love.

You must BE the love you wish to see in the world.

How to help yourself

If you are sensitive and you find your heart hurting when you connect with the collective ( the fear and sadness energy) it will be extremely helpful for you if you can turn off the news and do some guided meditations to help clear the energy.  There are many on this website (you can use the search bar at the bottom of the page on desktop), or you can try this one, Clearing and Shielding with Archangel Michael, or this one Meditation to Heal from Negative Energy.

If your heart feels heavy and you want to do some heart chakra clearing, this is one I like.  Meditation for healing the heart chakra.

In the energies over the next short while it is important that you allow for the ebb and flow of the weird energy we are feeling.  Clearing out negativity and focusing on love and your heart will help a lot.

Stop clicking on negative links on Facebook as well.  The more negative you read, the more negative things you will be shown (Facebook works the same way the Law of Attraction does).

You may need to cut yourself some slack for the next week.  Work when you feel like working, do what you need to do, and be gentle with yourself.

The Healing Power of Gratitude ~ Meditation

Gratitude is very important in our lives, the more we practice gratitude for what is, the better we feel.  The better we feel, the better things we create and attract.  This meditation is good for physical, mental, and emotional healing.

Its been a while since I’ve shared a new guided meditation (there are so many that are my “favourites”) that I thought it would be timely to share one with you now.

One Step Forward Two Steps Back

I have a lot of you coming to me saying that this is how you feel.  Like you start to get somewhere and then all of a sudden you are propelled backwards and you feel worse off than you were before.

It doesn’t need to be that way.  What is it you are trying to manifest for yourself?  Are you able to let go when you start your forward movement or do you move forward while trying to hang on to old stuff?  The ‘stuff’ can be ways of thinking or being, or fears or actual physical things or people.

Do you go with the flow when things start to move forward?  Or do you start trying to dictate exactly what it is going to look like?  Are you able to redirect yourself when something goes a little bit sideways or do you fight it tooth and nail and end up going backwards (instead of just sideways a little?).

Do you find that when things start to move forward you get a little bit nervous and then stop moving?

When things go forward do you allow yourself to practice gratitude about what is moving?  Or do you complain about what hasn’t yet come into form?  Do you always seem to find something to complain about even when things are going well?

I’m not writing this to place ‘blame’, or to make you feel lousy when you feel as if you move backwards.  I am writing this to bring your attention to why things work the way they do for you.  Mostly because I hear so often that when things start to get good, they then get worse than they were before.

If you can learn to celebrate the slightest movement forward, you will find that you are less likely to slide backwards.  Going backwards is a practiced vibration.  If you believe in “Murphy’s Law”, you will create Murphy’s Law moments occurring in your life.

If you are always allowing drama into your life and are constantly celebrating your ability to ‘overcome adversity’ you will in essence create more adversity to overcome.

What you focus on and what you talk about is what you will create more of.  So when a little thing goes well, if you talk about that and focus on that, then more will go well for you.  If you rant and rave and constantly talk about what is good in your life and really feel it and really appreciate it, you will get more of that!!

Do NOT mistake Wishful Thinking for Manifesting

A lot of you also think that if you wish for a specific thing hard enough you will get it.  Sometimes it works that way, but when there is something you want it is generally a feeling that you are wanting.

Lets say you want to move into a specific house.  What you really want though is the feelings that you will have if you get that house.  You may see things moving in a positive direction for you moving.  You may even find that events and circumstances seem to be keeping you away from that particular house.  This could feel like you are moving forward, but then when that particular house isn’t available you feel as if you’ve gone two steps back.  What if you were to go with the flow and be grateful for where you are at and how far you have come.  You would find that although you might be at a bit of a standstill for a while (things going sideways on moving into that specific house at this specific time), if you were to go with the flow and keep your vibration high, you would wind up in the perfect spot for you whether it was that house or a better one (based on your high vibration).

This example would work the same for a job or in other circumstances, including finances, as well.  Like if you started to be saving up money and paying down debt and are working to keep your vibration high and attract good things to yourself.  Then your car breaks down and you wind up with either part of your savings gone or your debt back up.  If you keep your vibration high and go to a place of gratitude for having the money to fix your car, you will get more to be grateful for.  If you go to thoughts and a lower vibration of being angry or feeling like you are going backwards, you will create more circumstances that make you feel as if you are moving backwards.

Hoping and wishing that things will be different won’t work without the proper vibration on your part.  Making promises, even to yourself, that you are in no position to keep (yet) won’t make things ‘magically’ happen.  As a matter of fact, they can keep things away from you because the stress of knowing you don’t have it yet can actually create a vibration within you that will keep it away from you.

Your Expectations of Other People can also Create a Feeling of Moving Backwards

You cannot control other people or things.  If your are moving forward while having expectations from other people and they do not do what you want them to do when you want them to do it, it can feel like you are moving backwards as well.

In this case, you aren’t really moving backwards, your forward movement just stopped because you were wishing that someone else would do something and they didn’t do it.

If you can train yourself to know that you create 100% of your life, then you will be able to train yourself to keep your vibration high and roll with things that don’t look exactly like you thought they would.  You will be more able to keep moving forward without the feelings of being flung backwards.  You will begin to see setbacks as opportunities for re-direction rather than a “negative thing that keeps happening to me”.  This takes a lot of practice (and awareness) and it isn’t always easy, but it does make for a more comfortable, flowing life.

This is a great Abraham audio.  No matter what you want, or what your challenge might be, this will help.  It has a really good explanation about your beliefs and your subconscious and your vibration.  I think all of you that are wanting something should listen to this.

Don’t be afraid of repeating the past

We are in a very new energy now.  There is no need at all to revisit or be afraid of what came before.  Things are just different now.

We are much more aware of the Law of Attraction, and how we manifest in our lives.  We are no longer ‘fated’ to repeat past behaviours or scenarios for ourselves.  It is much easier to manifest what we want in our lives.

This is due to the earth being in a 5th dimensional reality, and also due to science.  We know more now about how to use energy to our advantage and now that it is backed by quantum science our belief has gone up.

When you believe that you can create your life, your reality, your days, you do so more consciously.  You take responsibility for your decisions and your actions.  You can think and act from a place of knowing you are a creator.

You don’t need to be fearful of repeating the past

Its okay to let go of things that came before.  You may have had setbacks in relationships, or finances, or with your work or family, but you don’t need to be afraid of repeating them.  Simply being aware of what happened before, and being aware of what you are vibrating, thinking and doing now can keep you from ever having to repeat a destructive pattern.

You are not the same person you were then.  You have re-invented yourself.  Trust yourself.  Listen to your inner guidance.  Does what you are contemplating make you feel happy in your heart?  Or are there red flags going up all over the place?  Are you listening to your intuition, or are you ignoring signs and signals and pushing forward with old familiar patterns anyway?

So what is the difference between being nervous and a red flag?

If you see a sign that something is not right for you, and you try to justify it, then that is a red flag.

Relationship example:  In a relationship if you have been with abusive people before or with someone who has had substance abuse problems and you are now with someone new you have to ask yourself how it feels and be truthful with yourself about what it looks like.

Red flags would be seeing them use substances in an unsafe or destructive way; or them saying something very hurtful, or physically harming you.  These are red flags that should not be ignored.  Even if you have been together for 9 months and they have been okay up to this point, pay attention to the red flag before proceeding.

How to know if its just your own ‘baggage’ in a situation like this.  If you are with someone and they say something that hurts your feelings, but that is not abusive (more just pushes your buttons a bit and brings you back to the past), then that would be your baggage.  Can you talk to them about it?  Is it safe to share your feelings?  (not in a reactive way, but in a responsive way).

If you look at the relationship from the past you will see that there were red flags all over the place but maybe you ignored them.  See the past for what it was, don’t ignore the flags this time, but don’t bring the past into your present situation either.

Work Example:  You decide you want to change careers.  Maybe you changed jobs or started a business in the past and it didn’t go well.

Now you have found a new job that will pay the bills but is a little more esoteric, or creative, or different from what your upbringing taught you.  Or, you have decided to start a business that makes your heart sing.  These things can certainly make you nervous, but they don’t necessarily mean you are repeating a mistake from the past.

Your past and your family might get into your thoughts and tell you that this is not possible.  That it is a pipe dream and you can’t have a job that makes you happy and allows you to live comfortably.  You may have subconsciously believed that last time you tried and your old beliefs contributed to it not working out.

If you are now operating from a new energetic space, where you know you are a creator, this nervousness doesn’t necessarily mean its a red flag.  In the case of starting a business, you may need to keep your day job while you grow your business, but it does not mean that the past will repeat itself.

We are in a new energy and you are now able to operate from a completely new space.  If you find things coming up for you that are similar to the past don’t let it scare you.  Remember, you can do it differently this time.  You don’t need to be afraid of being stuck with the same scenario as last time.

Everything changes all the time, and you have changed and evolved a lot in the past few years.  Trust yourself, trust your intuition, create from a high vibration (not just wishful thinking) and all will work out.

5th Dimensional Reality

I wanted to share this post with you.  I wrote it 4 years ago, but it still applies.  With all the changes in the energy and the downloads of light we have been getting I think you will find it helpful if you are trying to create new in your life.  I share some insights from my personal life in this one as well.

Too many people think they can use only the Law of Attraction (and no work) when trying to get things in their life, but they don’t use it properly.  This blog post might help you out if you are trying to “manifest” something for yourself.

Its titled:

“Manifesting … what can we control?”

I have written a lot before about control. Most importantly that we cannot control other people or things. However, we can control our own life and how we react to things.

Positive, loving energy, creates and draws more positive and loving energy. Denser, fearful energy creates and draws more negative feelings and denser energy.

In my own life right now I have some great examples of how I decided what it is that I really want. This is personal, but hey, I’m an open book, and if it helps even one person it is worth it.  So here goes.

Who or What Do You Think is Controlling Your Life?

You have ultimate control over your own life you know.  You don’t really have to be controlled by anything or anyone outside of yourself.

I know that a lot of you reading this will have a list of 10 or more things that are external to yourself that you may say have some control over your life.  But it simply isn’t true.

Do you wish your life was different?  What is it you want?  Love, happiness, money, a career, a business, better health, time, freedom?  You can have it ~ really.

You may need to adjust the way you are speaking to yourself but you can have it.  Everything in your life starts with a thought.  The words you use in your internal dialogue is how you are thinking.

Who told you you can’t have what you want?  Was it your parents, your teachers, your bosses, society, the news?

Think about why you believe you can’t have it.  Is it even true?  Who said it?  Why did they say it?  When you look at them what does their life look like?  Are they happy?

You are living your life.  No one else is.

You may need to do different things to get different results, but you are living your life.  When all the distractions and other people are not around, who are you left with?

Who decides what you are going to do with your time?  Who decides what distractions you are going to let get in your way?  Who decides how you are going to feel?

You are responsible for the choices you make.  If your life doesn’t look the way you want it to, take a good look at the decisions and choices you are making in any given moment.

Practice some awareness of your recurring thoughts; are they helping you or hindering you?

Live in the present moment; are you doing what you want to be doing in that moment?

If you are doing and thinking things that are the opposite of what you want to be doing and thinking, you may need to ask yourself what you are afraid of.

What is stopping you?  Why are you so afraid to live the life you want to live?

Make some decisions.  Think of what you are afraid to do, and then decide to do it.  Once you decide to do it, then the actual doing of it will be easier.

Don’t worry about judgements from others.  Don’t live a life full of regrets for things you did not do.  Make the hard decisions, then take action on them.  Don’t worry about what other people think.  It doesn’t matter.  What matters is what you think and how you feel.

Making decisions and taking action will leave you so exhilarated that you won’t have time to worry about what anyone else is thinking anyway.  You will be living the life you want, you will be happy.

You have one life, and you are the one living it, live it wisely.

What if There is Nothing Left to OVER-COME? Now it is time to BE-COME

For years now we have been in an energy of letting go, overcoming challenges, removing blocks, clearing chakras and energy fields, and trying to get rid of what is no longer serving us.

What if that is all over now?

It is for a lot of you.  You’ve done the work.  You have succeeded in clearing out all the old, now what?

It’s time to BECOME who you want to be.  You can.  And it doesn’t need to be the least bit difficult.

All you need to do is let go of “how things have always been”.  Our world HAS changed, we HAVE changed.  Its already done.  Any discomfort you are feeling now is trying to bring the old world into the new world.

It simply won’t work.  The old paradigms won’t work in the new energy.  This goes for the monetary system, how and where we live, what we eat, the energy of competition vs. the energy of cooperation, how we get our electrical power, the old reliance on oil, being immersed in masculine energy without embracing the divine feminine energy,  the separation from our earth and between different races of people; think you get the meaning, everything has changed.

If you try to bring your past into your present it won’t work.  You have a clean slate now.  What do you want to create?  Who do you want to Become?

It really can be easy if you let it flow.  The hardest part is making a decision.  Once you make your decision you will find that things fall into place for you quite easily.  The Law of Attraction will bring you people and circumstances that will assist you in moving forward and creating the life you imagine.

You might not have much more to clear.  During September we truly were scraping the bottom of the barrel of what needed to go.  Things we thought were done with may have come up so that you could release the last remnants.

ITS ALL NEW NOW.  Embrace the new energy, allow things to change, imagine the life you want.  Then simply go for it!!!  Don’t worry about what anyone else is doing or what society or the ‘news’ tells you.  YOU are the creator, create what you want, you’ve got this!

My Oh My, What “Annoying” Energy

So I’ve observed a lot of annoyed people the past little while.  I have also noticed that a lot of people are freaking out over nothing.

This is the intense energy of the Supermoons/Eclipses of September.  Things can feel pretty unsettled for those that haven’t learned to stay in their own energy and practice awareness.  Don’t let this be you!  (if it is you though, don’t worry, there are tips below to help).

I’m going to mention the light infusions again here as well.  GROUND YOUR ENERGY.  With the light that is coming to our planet it is really easy to get spaced out.

One reason why some people are freaking out is because we are going through a transformation.  Each of us on our own, and the planet as a whole.  Some people have been fighting this transition and they feel as if things are being “done to them”.  Really it is a part of their path and we all create our own stuff, but when we have been in denial about changes that need to take place; and then they are thrust upon us to get us to transform, it can lead some people to freak a little.

Sometimes when the people around you freak out over something it is easy to get annoyed at them.  There’s not really much point to doing that though.  Some of them are being a little irrational.  Things are changing, and they feel the energy but they don’t know what the heck is going on.  Don’t let their confusion become your problem.

If you do, what will happen, via the Law of Attraction is that you will attract more ‘freaked out’ people into your space. I suppose they aren’t all ‘freaked out’, a lot of them are just really stunned and on auto pilot (ungrounded).

For example, the weather has been nice here the past few days but there have been numerous car and truck accidents on the highway.  No reason, driving conditions are good, just people not being present in their bodies.

So, here is your energy alert of the dayStay in your own energy.  Don’t let spaced out people annoy you.  Don’t focus on how annoying people are lest you attract more of them.

Stay in your own energy, ground your energy, pay attention to your thoughts, be patient, cut others some slack, and know that this energy will pass.  If someone does something annoying, let it go and think of something else.  Distract yourself (in a positive way) while still being aware of what you are doing.

If you need to spend time alone, then try and spend time alone.  Energetically this time can be almost like an ‘open nerve’ for some ~ if this is you, then its best to protect your energy and avoid being out in it too much.
