Energy, Awareness and Judgement
Everything is energy. What is it that you creating with your energy?
Whatever our intentions are is the energy we will create for ourselves, and the energy that we will attract to ourselves.
This is backed up by science, Quantum Physics to be exact, but I won’t get into that part of things here.
Why practice awareness?
Because you cannot change what you do not know or acknowledge. As you practice awareness from week to week, you start to see where your thinking might not be in line with what it is you want to accomplish.
This is in direct relationship to the energy behind things. If you are unaware of your thoughts or your surroundings then you are unaware of the energy you are putting out, and therefore; unaware of the energy you are bringing into your life.
Back to science here, but we really do get back the energy that we put out. Awareness of this energy is very important. If you are not aware of what you are doing, thinking, saying, then you are on autopilot and allowing life to just lead you along. There is a difference between “going with the flow” and not taking responsibility for what you are creating.
Your thoughts and actions play a big part in where you will end up. Being aware of things helps with the process of creating the life that you want.
Judgement and Perception Go Hand in Hand
Why practice Non-Judgement?
When we judge things, we immediately stop the flow of energy. Try to see things just as they are. Not as good or bad. If something happens it just “is” – there’s no need to define it.
How we perceive our circumstances dictates how we handle things and the type of energy we create in our day to day lives.
If something happens and we perceive it as “bad”, then we immediately have a “bad” experience or reaction. We create negative energy. Remember, when you do this, what you put out there is what you will get in return “energetically speaking”.
What if what is happening is not “bad” but is necessary for your growth, and to help you move on and become. Without movement, there can be no growth. Think about that. What if, on a soul level, (and a mind level), you are wanting different circumstances in your life. What if the Universe decides to support this decision? What if you are trying to hang onto old ways? The more you perceive the movement as a negative, the more you will experience it as negativity. The more negative energy you will yourself create.
This is why people often experience “opposites” showing up when they try to manifest something. It’s not really the “opposite”, that’s just the way you are perceiving it. If you perceive it as growth and movement instead of as lack and limitation, you are on your way to making the life you want.
Part 1 – How Much Control Do You Have Over Your Life?
This blog post is Part One of a Two Part Series.
I write and talk a lot about you having control over your own life. A lot of clients ask me “How much control do I really have? Are some things just destiny, or meant to be?”
What about the things you really want, but that you don’t get. You need to remember, there is more to you than just your ego mind. You have a soul. A higher self that has come to this earth for a reason. You came here for an experience.
What you need to do, is to connect with your soul and see what it is that you really want, what your Soul wants. Sometimes if your ego mind is not in line with your soul, it can appear as if you really aren’t getting what you want.
If you have had a reading with me you know. I can often see clearly the path you are headed down, and what the result will be if you continue on that path. Basically, I can see where you are headed right now. Another thing you may know, is that whatever path I see you on at the moment CAN be changed. All it takes is for you to be conscious; to realize that there is more to you than just what you think and that if there is something coming up you do not like, or something you are experiencing right now that you do not like, you can change it by taking action.
Before you came here, your Soul decided that a certain thing would be your life purpose. (Some people refer to this information as what is contained in the Akashic records). HOW YOU EXPERIENCE YOUR LIFE PURPOSE IS UP TO YOU. Once you get here and go through some experiences, it is up to you to decide whether or not to stay on the path you are on, or switch things up a bit.
Is it comfortable for you here? Do you feel like you are living your purpose? Which path do you chose to walk down on your way to fulfilling your purpose?
When I do a reading and see something coming up for someone and they do not like it, they can change it. Knowledge is a part of the power and control. ** Most people can tap into this themselves if they really want to, but it takes meditation, and patience and lots and lots of practice. Most have been conditioned to respond to things in a certain mindful or logical way and when they get inspired to do something completely different than what most people would call ‘normal’, they ignore it. In essence, they don’t listen to their inner guidance. So they may unconsciously, but yet from a soul level, create something that appears undesirable in everyday life in order to facilitate a change.
There have been times where I’ve looked at my own path, and consciously changed where I saw myself headed. I look, I see, I don’t like, I mediate, pray, ask for help, make changes, do energy work, ask through meditation which other way I can do it, whatever it takes to do things in a new way. I don’t think I really need to do more than just hold the intention of changing it, but doing those things helps me stay balanced and focused.
There are itmes when I look and see something I don’t like and I just prepare myself for it. There are a lot of difficult things I’ve gone though in my life but each and every one of them has made me who I am today. If not for the bad stuff, if my entire life had just been a bed of roses, I certainly wouldn’t be able to relate to people who are going through a tough time themselves. When I connect with a client who is going through a difficult time, it is easier for me to feel compassion if I’ve been there myself.
Anyway, next time you are trying to manifest or control something, take a look at what your end goal is. Does what you are doing in your day to day life right now support the end goal of what you want? What your higher self is trying to achieve? Do you need to shake things up a bit? Are you headed down a path where the only option for your higher self to get you where you need/want to be is through discomfort?
Sometimes you cannot dictate exactly what reaching your goal looks like. You don’t always get to where you want to be via the path that you initially planned with your mind, you may need to make adjustments along the way, but you truly do have control over where you end up.
** For those of you who wish to work on connecting with Spirit and learning how to “Do it Yourself”, I have recently received an online course to review called Psychic Awakening.
I will be posting a full review of the course in the next two weeks. However, after my initial perusal, I am confident that the course will be helpful to many.
Belief
We all create our own reality. Not only by what we say or do, but by what we believe.
A belief is just a thought that repeats itself over and over again. Our beliefs shape our reality more than anything else.
There have been times in my life when I have been told that I have on “rose coloured glasses” or that I am not living in reality. Well, I can tell you, for the most part, I am happy. My life is good. If my life is what I believe to be “good”, and I am happy and am able to spread love and light and abundance, what is wrong with that? If that means I’m not living in someone else’s negative view of ‘reality’ then so-be-it. I like my reality.
Would there be any point at all for me to believe that things are not as positive as I think and feel they are? That when I am challenged by something, it is a ‘bad’ experience and will ruin my life? When I have a challenge in my life, and I have had many, I chose to believe that I will get through it. I chose to believe that in some way, whether I recognize it or not at the moment, it is for my highest and best good and on some level I have created it. When I am particularly challenged, I look at ways to create something different for myself. It’s not always easy, but I know, or at least I believe, that discomfort promotes movement, and movement promotes growth. That is the way I chose to perceive my reality.
The following are some examples of ways you may talk to yourself, and in turn, shape your own reality. Which category do you find yourself going to more often, the first or the second?
1). “There’s high unemployment and there is no work out there”. If you believe this, then you will make that a reality for yourself. You will go through your days acting on that belief. You will not bother to look as hard because you believe there is no point to looking, there is no work.
2.) If you were to change the thoughts, the belief would follow. “There are jobs out there, you just have to find them”. You will go through your days acting as if the perfect job is out there for you. You will look more, you will apply more, you will find a job that resonates with you.
1). “There is no point to starting exercise unless I am prepared to do it every day” (or 3x a week or whatever you believe). You are more likely to not exercise at all because you believe there is no point and no benefit to just doing a little.
2.) “Any exercise I can get is better than doing nothing”. If that is your belief then you will get up and move a lot more. You may find you have 5-10 minutes a day, or one hour every second weekend. Once you do a little bit, if you believe it is helping, it will be helping. You will feel good about the little bit you are doing and will possibly feel like doing more, because it will feel good.
1). If you own a business. “It is hard to find good help”. You will put out an ad for staff. You will get X amount of applications. You believe that good help is hard to find, so you will hire based only on the applications sitting in front of you, whether the people fit with your company’s mission and values or not. After all, what is the point in looking any farther, ‘there’s no good help out there’.
2.) “There are many people out there that will resonate with the values of my company”. You put out an ad. You get X amount of applications. None appear to be what your company is looking for. You can either put out another ad in a different place and see who applies, or you interview people who might not have the experience who turn out to be very quick learners, are bright and share your values.
1). “There’s no point in trying, nothing ever works”. This one is pretty much a creativity killer. If you hold this belief, you are likely to never try anything new. Never let anything old go, and to feel stuck in your life.
2.) “This doesn’t feel good to me, I think I’m going to do something – anything differently”. Guaranteed, that if you change even one thing, do even one thing differently, you will see different results. If you like the results great, if you don’t, change something else.
If you want to change your life, and your reality, start by changing your beliefs. Challenge them regularly. When you find your self-talk being negative, ask yourself if it really is truth. If it really needs to be your truth.
So many of our beliefs are not even ours, but what we have been told in our lives. We are told things by our parents, our teachers, our religious leaders, our government, our media. Not everything you hear is truth. Even if it is true for some people, it is not necessarily true for everyone. It does not have to be true for you. Unless you believe it to be true and take it on as a part of your belief system.
Starting today, give yourself permission to think for yourself and create your own beliefs.
I Got Caught Not Practicing Awareness Today
I am usually pretty good at being in the moment, and practicing awareness. However, the past little while has been a bit of a challenge for me. I have had tons of stuff going on and I’ve sometimes wondered how I can do it all.
My Aunt passed away on January 8th, after a very brief yet intense illness. Her and I were very close, she was my mentor, my confidant, my friend. We had a “Celebration of Life” for her on Sunday.
As I wrote a few weeks ago, my husband broke his leg in September and has been off work since. He went for surgery yesterday to have pins removed.
Tomorrow, my son has dental surgery for a growth he’s got on his gums. Likely not too serious, but they have to knock him out and a mom worries anyway.
This Friday night I am participating in a paranormal investigation. My first with a new P.A.R.A. team. Very exciting. I will let you know how it goes once all is said and done.
I’ve had tons of e-mails coming in and I’m working on booking in readings from those that are still on my waitlist.
Over the past while my horse has been slightly neglected. I say slightly because I keep him at a barn where they take awesome care of him. He’s well fed, gets put out in the morning to romp around and is brought in and kept warm and dry at night. I have been trying to get down to exercise him but its been a challenge over the past while. He grounds me, keeps me in the moment and I can’t help but Practice Awareness when I am with him but I haven’t been to the barn since Saturday. Over the last month I have only been down to the barn just enough to keep him from going crazy from lack of attention. Thinking that I absolutly must get to see him on Thursday.
So, here I was, this Tuesday morning, I was happily going along my way and getting ready for the day. I had booked four clients in today starting at 9:30 a.m. I got up early, had my workout and shower and was having a cup of coffee before taking my son to school. My husband had to leave the house and needed help with the truck. I often will help to lift things into or out of the truck with him, normally not a problem.
This particular morning I was feeling a little rushed, seeing how many emails I could answer before my appointments started. I was thinking about all the things I had to do, the things I had done, what I needed to get done later, and what I could rush through to get to where I wanted to be. A typical case of rushing around too much and not being in the moment.
So I went outside with my husband and proceeded to grab one side of a very heavy piece of equipment, and halfway through lifting it I got the most intense pain in my back. Ouch. I could hardly move. I hobbled into the house and tried to stretch it out a bit but it didn’t work. I then popped a couple of Robax Platinum’s hoping that that would help to relax the muscle.
Suffice to say, I ended up cancelling my readings for the day…I couldn’t even get down the stairs to where I do readings, never mind actually sit with someone without wincing or groaning.
I said to my husband “I wonder if someone is trying to tell me something?” I must say, I know we create our own “stuff” ~ good and bad. He pointed out that normally when I am going to lift something like that I stretch and bend and make a big production of limbering up beforehand and today I didn’t.
I’m a thinker, always looking for a higher meaning to things. I considered that my higher self didn’t want me to be doing readings today, or that I was meant to be doing something else with my day.
When it comes right down to it though, its just AWARENESS. I got too much into my head, and autopilot, and rushing to get things done and didn’t take the time to get ready and lift properly. That’s it. Not divine intervention, not a curse, not anything, just ME.
A great reminder for me to be in the moment and Practice My Awareness.
