bare feetI think that many of you Empaths reading this will find this super helpful at this time.  If you are reading this and you are not a sensitive person, then share it around; I guarantee you have at least one friend who is that could use this right now.

Things keep changing on us.  For years now we have been getting downloads of energy and light codes to help shift our DNA and bring us into the higher dimensions.  If you are reading this I know you have felt it.  It ramped up in 2012 and in 2015 it seems like its been pretty much constant.

It is all part of the process of the ascension of our planet, and those of us on it.  If we don’t allow ourselves the time, space and patience that is required, we can feel very overwhelmed.

The past couple of weeks have been intense yet again.  I am going to share some ‘clues’ that you are experiencing these downloads so that you can rest easy knowing that it will pass, and you will begin to feel better again.  I was going to write “normal”, but we won’t ever be what we used to consider normal again.  We cannot go back.  Once you have experienced energy in this way, you cannot un-experience it.

How to care for an Empath

  • You may feel almost like you are an ‘open nerve’ and you cannot be around people.  Sometimes you physically feel it some times it is more of an internal thought/energy thing.  I often feel it in the centre of my back at the very top.  I won’t bother trying to describe it further because those of you going through this will know exactly what I mean.
  • You need to allow yourself time alone.  I haven’t really been out with friends or anyone else in about 2 weeks.  I can’t stand being out in this dense energy.  My husband went away for 4 nights over the long weekend, and I had a really hard time adjusting to even him being here.  Once again, hard to describe, but I had to shift my energy just to be able to cope being around another person (I love my hubby lots, we get along very well, he is my best friend and he has decent energy most of the time ~ this had nothing to do with him).
  • You may be feeling things in a big way.  My sister sent me a note and said:  “I am feeling things more. And I mean really FEELING things. Pain, suffering, sadness, wrongness, as well as intense feelings of the good stuff. Like seeing forests cut down, physically hurts. Seeing people and things being disrespected, hurts. In a real way. I really have to protect myself, more than ever.  Maybe you’ve got something? If I’m feeling it, I am not the only one. (it’s not new, just much, much stronger)”.  This is what the energy is like for many of you.  And you will need to try and protect yourself from some of that energy.  I don’t necessarily like the word ‘protect’ but I think it works here.  You do need to try and disconnect from things that bring you too much discomfort.
  • For those of you that care about these things in a HUGE way (most of us do, but some are more connected to Mother Earth, like my dear sister is), it does not mean you stop caring.  You can call on your Angels to help ‘dull it down a bit for you’.  You will need to stay away from TV programs, or anything that brings this into your awareness more.  Because you care, on some level you do not want to disconnect from it.  However, you will always feel something; that will never go away.  You can be of no use to anyone or anything if you are going squirrelly, so it is best to work on your own energy first.  If you focus too strongly on this, your energy will manifest and bring more of it into your awareness.  You could try saying “thank you for the information” and then do a disconnect from the energy.
  • What you are feeling can be comparable to how I do readings and what I feel.  If someone comes to see me and they have physical pain or emotional pain or upset, I feel it as if it is my own.  Sometimes very deeply to the point I cannot differentiate between them and me.  With practice of protection, and asking for help to ‘dull it down’, I am now able to connect with people without ‘losing it’.  If I feel their pain, I can keep it to feeling a pressure or a throb in the area rather than putting my own back out.  Or if it is emotional I am able to feel it but still stay mildly detached from it so I can help them.  This is what you need to do as well.  Even if it is with Mother Earth energy (trees), or animals or humans.  You cannot be helpful if you are in pain yourself.

Feeding of an Empath

Your appetite may be all over the map right now.  I swear one minute I am famished, feel like I could eat a house, and then I eat 8 raw organic almonds and I am stuffed.  Its almost as if my body doesn’t know what it wants.  Or maybe my body knows and it just doesn’t need very much?  I haven’t figured that part out yet, but my cravings for junk food have been way down as well.  So if your hunger signals are all mixed up, then chalk it up to being so sensitive energetically.

  • Drink lots of water, you need it.  Water is a conductor of energy.  If you don’t have enough while we are going through these downloads you will really notice your energy levels going down.
  • Put fresh lemons in your water if you can get your hands on some.  They will help alkalinize your body.
  • Try and get some exercise.  Even on days I can’t get out, I will still hop on my vibration machine or elliptical trainer, even if its just for 10 minutes.  You need to move your body.
  • Get outside.  Once again, even if its just for a little while.  I often will interrupt my work to walk barefoot in my backyard for a few minutes (or hug one of my big trees).  Or I will go out for longer and sit with my bare feet in the grass.
  • Do a detox.  Please, if you decide to do a liver detox, talk to your naturopathic doctor.  Liver detoxes can be dangerous if not done properly.  You do not want to detox your liver and put those toxins into your bloodstream or other parts of your body, it can kill you.  Detoxing is good, researching how to do it safely and properly is IMPERATIVE.
  • If you are inclined, try coffee enemas.  They are amazing for detox, are cheap, are easy, and help support your body in many other ways.

Bottom line is this.  We are going through some stuff right now and you need to take care of yourself.  Meditate, relax, breathe, love.  Shield your energy so that you can cope with the human aspects of life ~ we still live here after all.  If you need to be alone, BE ALONE.

We do need other people in our lives, but not all the time.  If you are a sensitive person you especially need to unplug and disconnect once in a while.  You cannot hold a space for yourself or other people if you are not okay yourself.  Read this post from yesterday if you think you might be doing too much.
