If you aren’t sure who to vote for this will help you decide CANADA ELECTION QUIZ

So Canada has a federal election coming up in about 2 weeks, on October 19th.  Normally, I try and not be too political, but the apathy of Canadian voters is getting out of hand.

You should get out and vote.  Last time around more than HALF of registered voters didn’t bother to vote.  HALF.  That is a lot of people who didn’t bother.

Most of us know that there are a limited number of things a political party can do or change as its not all up to them.  Thing is though there is a lot they can change or impact while in office.  Even if its only 20% of the policies that is something.

I’ve heard a lot of people saying that Stephen Harper should stay in because of the economy.  That the economy is the most important thing ever.  I agree the economy is important, but who says Stephen Harper can do it best anyway?  Has anyone that says that even looked closely at the numbers?  Canada’s financial system is tied up in the WORLD economy, who is in power in Canada is highly unlikely to be able to run the entire world economy anyway, we are pretty much at the mercy of whether or not the US is going to keep printing money or not.  There are too many people who are just afraid of change.  They will complain that they can’t get ahead, or that groceries are too expensive, or that taxes are too high, but they would rather gripe than take a chance on change.

Aside from the economy (which I agree is important but not under a lot of control of Canada itself no matter who’s in power), there are many other issues that are important in our country.

If you are not planning on voting, please reconsider.  Before you vote though, take a look at this quiz.  I came across it a while ago, and I did the quiz myself.  Make sure you click on “other stances” for an extended list of multiple choice answers, this enables the quiz to closely match your views.

Just do the quiz, and see what it shows you.  It will give you percentages of which parties have policies similar to your own personal values.  You might be surprised.

I encourage you to take the quiz, see who you resonate with the most (or second most), and get out and vote this time.  Your vote really can make a difference.  Change is good.
